Christ Church Lille Newsletter
Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader]
This has been a strange and difficult week; information and guidelines were changing all the time, but we hope everyone is now coping with this new way of living.
There are no services, groups, meetings or events in the church or the hall for the time being. We will let you know about possible online events, such as the AGM, as soon as possible.

Pray and worship from home

We have now set up a special page on our website where you can find services, prayers and continue to worship and pray at home, even if we can't be together on Sundays. The links to the Sunday service and the video will be live on Sunday morning each week. Do join in at a time that suits you.
There will also be the opportunity to join in an "Open House" chat, coming soon.

A message from Debbie

If you missed this message on Tuesday, you can find it on our website page, together with a message from the Archbishops of Canterbury and York

Talking to your children about the coronavirus

The Sunday Club team has suggested this link to help you talk about the coronavirus with your children:
Catholic and Protestant churches in Lille will ring their bells for 5 minutes at 7:30 pm every Wednesday evening to call everyone to a time of prayer. Click the image.
The sound of the bells calls us to be aware and reminds us that the Spirit of Christ is not confined, but comes to all Christians, wherever we are and of whatever denomination.

A request for help

The Reverend Phil Edell in Dunkerque has asked for help. He and his team are no longer allowed face-to-face ship visits to seafarers.
Are there any volunteers from the Christ Church community who might be willing and technically capable of offering remote contact with seafarers. English, Tagalog, Chinese, Russian speakers particularly welcome. Just to take an interest and swap a few messages. Internet required!

If you can help, please contact Phil directly philip.edell@mtsmail.org
