Building-closed-Church-open-1000
Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader]
We are sorry to say that the church building remains closed until further notice, and this may last for several more weeks. However, our life together continues in different ways. Last Sunday lots of people were able to join in worship using the video that we posted or the text version of the morning service. The Mosaic Evening service team also met online.
All the details about how to join in with Worship online, or with all the other online meetings and possibilities for a chat are on our website, and you'll find the links below.
Before you read on, remember that the clocks go forward on Sunday morning!
But at least you won't be late for church ...

Giving

Before we go, can we say thank you to those who continue to give to the church. The building may be closed, but our work and mission continues. You may not be able to add to the collection plate, but you can still contribute using one of the methods on our Giving page. It's simple and it really helps, thank you.

Keeping in touch

At this time when we can't meet in person, it's important to keep in touch by email or phone or ...
Please can we remind you to update your contact details on ChurchBox, our secure address list? Thank you to all the people who have already done so.

Help wanted

Many of us are already reaching out to neighbours, friends and those we know who need help; please contact the Chaplain in the first instance if you are aware of someone in our church family who is in difficulty.
And here's another request, The Reverend Phil Edell in Dunkerque has asked for help to reach out to seafarers. He and his team are no longer allowed face-to-face ship visits.
Are there any volunteers from the Christ Church community who might be willing and technically capable of offering remote contact with seafarers. English, Tagalog, Chinese, Russian speakers particularly welcome. Just to take an interest and swap a few messages. Internet required!
If you can help, please contact Phil directly philip.edell@mtsmail.org
PS Sadly, we have had to postpone our 15Oth anniversary celebrations, we'll let you know when we can reschedule.
