Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader]
Back to school, and back to work for some. We hope it all goes well.
Lots of things are still happening online, including our weekly video; thanks Debbie for this double effort, so that those who can't attend church can still join in with worship and feel part of the community.
Read on for an opportunity to help with our A-V efforts. Could this be you?

Is somebody out there an Audio-Visual expert?
We really, really need someone to look after the A-V in church and help us move forward. It’s just not possible for the person leading the service to run the computer programme, the sound and the video as well as the camera and other essential items. Especially if we want to do some live-streaming.
Could you be the person we need? Please get in touch if you think you can help. churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr Hours: 10-11:30 on Sunday morning (but you can always train an assistant for occasions when you can’t be there …)
Pay: sorry, no pay, but lots of grateful thanks. And you’ll be helping us to fulfil our mission.
Benefits: getting the word out and indeed, the Word, too, thanks to your efforts.

We're sorry that one or two people had difficulties with the virtual tea and cake - if you use the link, you can buy one (or several) without using PayPal.
Please note, the drink and cake are not real, they're virtual!
We're keeping our online shop open until the end of September, so if you haven't done so already, why not buy a virtual drink and a piece of cake (€5) instead? Just click the "Buy now" button ...
You can buy one for a friend, too ...

We are still trying to help students who arrive needing help with setting up in Lille.
If you have any basic living items (bedding, curtains, towels, kitchen utensils etc) that are in good and clean condition, and you are prepared to give away for free, please contact Maggie at churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr or visit our church website for more information and to find out how our Student Online Market Place works. Please DO NOT bring your items to church.

Thank you to everyone who gives to sustain the life, mission and ministry of this church. Your gifts are very much welcomed.
And indeed, without your gifts, we cannot carry on - don't forget that the church is entirely self-funded. Full details of all the ways to give are on our Giving page. (you can use the QR code for fast access to the page) Thank you!
