Men's Group

The men's group is organising a men's breakfast on Saturday morning 1 June at 10:30 am in the church hall. They are hoping to welcome the Reverend Phil Edell from the Mission to Seafarers in Dunkirk.
Please let Tom know if you are coming, so that he can organise the food. (It sounds delicious!) mensgroup@christchurchlille.fr

A joint Press Release by Christian Churches in Lille

What kind of Europe?

..." une Europe de justice, d’une Europe hospitalière, d’une Europe qui prend en compte les minorités et la parole de ses citoyens, d’une Europe qui rapproche les hommes les uns des autres..."
Please read this document, which was issued jointly by the Ecumenical Committee of Lille, together with the CCFD, the Secours catholique, the CIMADE, the ABEJ and the URCEAS.
The Kingdom Come is a global prayer movement, and we are holding our own 24-hour prayer day on 5 June. You can sign up for a 1-hour slot so please try and take part.
The link button will take you to the page that explains it all, and don't forget to watch the video!
TKC Video
The Town Hall continues to work to make sure that CCL is a safe - and welcoming - place to be. The heating fault seems to have been fixed, and the new pump in the basement is being fitted in the next week, so we should be back to normal in the kitchen very soon. The electricians are coming to rectify some of the wiring and sockets and also to replace the emergency exit lighting. We'll let you know about some other major improvements that will be happening soon. Thank you to the team at the Town Hall.
