CCL GDE Braderie 2018 Saturday (1)-opt

Counting down the days to the Braderie ...
Dear [subscriber:firstname | default:reader]
You can tell it's August, so many (fortunate) people are away on holiday and it's quiet. But we're still here, and we welcome you to our Sunday service every week.
Our regular pattern of services starts again in September, after the BRADERIE.
18 August: Ninth Sunday after Trinity
Readings: Jeremiah 23: 23-29, Luke 12: 49-56

The church calendar is on our website, and all the services and readings are shown there. Also on the calendar are major works and the events taking place.
Thank you to Brian Griffiths, who is taking our services on Sunday morning this August. We hope he is enjoying his time in Lille, even though the weather this week is not so good.

For full details of forthcoming events, it's easy to consult this page on our website.

Braderie planning

Have you signed up to help yet? Please volunteer for at least one 2-hour slot on Saturday and/or Sunday 31 August- 1 September.
At the moment, we are particularly short of helpers behind the scenes; we need you!
Contact braderie@christchurchlille.fr to volunteer.
There are sign-up forms at the back of the church, too.
And to remind you about the works on the metro:
On line 2 of the metro (in red below) a bus will replace the metro between these stations:
3 - 20 August: between Saint Philibert and Porte des Postes.
PLAN-DE-LIGNE-carteMETRO-WEB26.10.17
It's not just the metro, there are works on the Lille tramways too. (Click the link for full details)
Bus services will replace the tram

3 - 19 August: Lille Flandres to Tourcoing Centre
If you are travelling on the Roubaix branch, you can pick up the tram at Croisé Laroche to Eurotéléport, but there are no trams between Lille Flandres and Croisé Laroche.
20 - 26 August: Croisé Laroche to Tourcoing Centre
Trams from Lille Flandres to Eurotéléport on the Roubaix branch will be running.
