Sunday Club

Sunday Club news

Debbie writes:
I am delighted to tell you that Francine and Benoit have agreed to co-ordinate Sunday Club this year, taking over from Vincent. They already have volunteers but are looking for one or two more people to join them in this vital ministry. All helpers and teachers will of course comply with Safeguarding Practice Guidelines (see our website for more details). Everyone on the Church Council and other helpers, like Sunday Club helpers, has to be trained and we encourage everyone in the congregation to undertake the online training too.

Please pray for them as they take on this new responsibility at our Church.
As part of the season of Creation, the Lille Ecumenical group of churches is organising an evening at the Accueil Marthe et Marie (metro St Philibert) on 4 October. Link to the flyer here.
They will be showing an amazing film, The Green Patriarch and if you can't go, then we highly recommend you take the time to watch the film on YouTube, it's not just an eye-opener, it's very moving and will make you think a bit.
Once you have watched the film, why not let us have some feedback? Just reply to this newsletter and we'll forward to Debbie and the Church Council.

Men's group is starting again

The Men's group will be meeting on Saturday morning 5 October at 10:00 am
in the Church Hall.
Full English breakfast, pastries, coffee/tea available. Small discussion on faith in everyday life. Please let Tom know if you can make it, for catering purposes mensgroup@christchurchlille.fr.
The group is planning further meetings on 9 November and 14 December, put the dates in your diary now and Tom will let you have more details.
