Dear reader
If you're wondering what a Safeguarding Sunday is, come along on Sunday morning and find out. You'll hear from our Safeguarding Officers too.
Meanwhile, you can take a look at lots of information on the Diocesan website, and there's an online training course available for everyone.
In this newsletter:
  • thank you for your harvest-time gifts
  • what's happening
  • summer time ends on 31 October
  • children's activity sheet
  • taking part in the life of our community
  • how you can continue to support us
thank you
Our friends at the Protestant church are grateful for your contributions to their food bank and soup kitchen, it all helps enormously especially in these difficult times, so thank you very much.

Summer time ends and the clocks go back on 31 October

Summer time ends and the clocks go back on 31 October
The end of October sees the end of summer time, and we go back to our winter hours; So you get an extra hour to sleep in that morning, but there will be a service in church, so you'll have time to get there!
And here's the link to this week's children's activity sheet: Speak up!
There will be a service on video every week at least until the end of October. Just go to our YouTube channel (and there is a link on the homepage of the website).
We've started the Podcasts again, too, here's the link: https://anchor.fm/christchurchlille

If this is important to you, please let us know so we can continue to provide a weekly service on video.

Taking part

Thanks to those who have already offered their help, it's much appreciated, and we're in this together, so there's room for everyone.
There are lots of ways for you to bring your gifts and talents to the service of God and neighbour. What was your idea?

Thank you for your continued support

We are entirely self-funded and the months of the pandemic have affected everything and everybody, not least our financial situation.
We're grateful to everyone who continues to support the church and its work, which goes beyond weekly services. Thank you!
If you're not already a regular giver, please consider whether you can give a little each month. Small amounts are just as welcome as large ones, really!
It's easy to give, here's a link to our "Giving" page
