Christ Church Lille Newsletter 22 July 2022

Dear reader
Do join us this Sunday, as we wish Debbie "Happy holidays" before she goes on her summer break.
We are delighted to welcome back Reverend Elisabeth Dean on 31 July and for the next few Sundays in August; we are so fortunate she is happy to come and lead our services while Debbie is away.
Some of you may remember Reverend Ferial Etherington, who came to lead services in the summer some years ago. We are sorry to hear that she died just recently and her husband Barry is in our thoughts and prayers.
In this newsletter:
  • Children's activity sheet
  • Prayers for Ukraine
  • Braderie de Lille
  • Summer Reading programme

  • Dates for your diary
  • Video and audio services
  • How you can support us
Here's the link to this week's children's activity sheet: Knock Knock, who's there?

Prayers for Ukraine

Please don't forget that this conflict is ongoing. Your prayers are still needed.

Braderie de Lille

Thank you to all the people who have already donated nice things for us to sell, or who have signed up to help. You can find out how to join us on our website.
We really need more people on Saturday 3 September: there are slots available on both days but Sunday is filling up. Got to our webpage for more information.

Prayer Focus Summer reading programme

Over the summer months, instead of our usual prayer focus, why not take a look at this reading plan which has been set up for you.

Dates for your diary

3-4 September Lille Braderie and our bric-à-brac stall
17-18 September Journées du Patrimoine (more information soon)
Ladies' Bible Study: has now stopped for the summer, they'll be back in the autumn.

Video services will be back in the autumn

We're sorry, but we're unable to create video services at the moment, but you can find all our previous videos on our YouTube channel
For the Podcasts, here's the link: https://anchor.fm/christchurchlille
We are entirely self-funded and we have cut back our expenses as much as possible; but we still need a regular income.
We're grateful to everyone who continues to support the church and its work, which goes beyond weekly services. Thank you!
If you're not already a regular giver, please consider whether you can give a little each month. Small amounts are just as welcome as large ones, really!
It's easy to give, here's a link to our "Giving" page
