On Saturday 31 May, our Archdeacon Peter Hooper was married to Liz, who is also a priest, in the Leicestershire UK Diocese.
|

The Archdeacon shared some photos of the happy day.

What is the Diocesan Synod?
|
Next week, representatives from across the Diocese in Europe will gather for the Diocesan Synod, a key meeting that helps shape the life of the Church across our wide and diverse region.
|
|
With congregations spread across continental Europe, North Africa, Turkey, and the Caucasus, the Synod plays an important role in bringing people together to listen, share, and support the Church’s mission.
|
We’re delighted that Maggie will attend as our local representative for France and our church community. Please keep her and all Synod members in your prayers as they meet and discern together.
|
|
("Synod" means assembly, and in the church, it means the coming together of representatives of clergy and laity.)
|
