Please take a few moments to read this message from our Refugee Support Officer, Bradon, based in Calais.
Victims of the Border
By reading this, you are making sure that the many (over 500 recorded) who have lost their lives are not just statistics, but people. Every single life is precious in God's eyes. Those who lost their lives include young people, children and babies. Can you take a moment to remember someone?
You can watch a moving video
This week is International Refugee Week (16-22 June 2025)
Those working with refugees on the border are doing what they can to help with funeral costs, admin and honouring the dead. You can take a look at this site if you think you can help.

Thirty years of women's ministry

This week, a conference for women clergy who serve in the Diocese in Europe took place in Madrid. During this conference a special service was held to mark the 30 years since women were first ordained in the Church of England.

Thank you!

A heartfelt thank you to everyone who took part in this year’s Envelope Challenge! We’re thrilled to share that we raised an amazing €2,668.71— a wonderful testament to the generosity and faithfulness of our church community.
Your giving is more than just a number, it’s a reflection of God’s love at work among us. Whether through prayer, participation, or contribution, each act of support helps strengthen our shared mission and ministry.
Thank you for being part of something truly meaningful.

Services during the summer
Services continue every Sunday throughout the summer. We are grateful to the Reverend Elisabeth Dean, who will be leading services every Sunday except for the first Sunday of the month.
On the first Sunday, there will be a service of Morning Prayer led by one of our Christ Church Lille Congregational Worship Leaders.

All the documents needed in order to recruit a new chaplain have now been approved and sent off. We'll keep you posted.
For more information on events and activities, please contact churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr
We will be manning a bric-a-brac stall at the Braderie de Lille this year so please start looking out items in good condition for us (clothes, toys, kitchenware, decorative items etc, but no books or electrical goods please)
