The 10th Sunday after Trinity
10:30 A service of Holy Communion
led by the Reverend Elisabeth Dean

We hope you have all been able to enjoy some rest and relaxation over the summer, but it's nearly over.
Next week's Newsletter will be a special "back to school" or "Rentrée" edition. We'll be bringing you a special message for this time of year, plus dates for your diary for the autumn, and information about groups, events and a lay course. Don't miss it!
We would like to start this newsletter with huge thanks.
- Firstly to all the people who turned up last Saturday morning to clean inside and outside, and also to grapple with the lighting. What a team, and what a great result!
Thank you all very much for your help.
- And then our sincere thanks to the wonderful person who dealt with all the weeds and rubbish in the church surroundings, before we even got there on Saturday; we don't know who to thank but they are currently our favourite person!
- Last but by no means least, very many thanks to Helen B who found the source of the leak in the loo which caused panic at the weekend. She has also purchased the replacement parts and fitted them. We are so grateful!

Children's activity sheet

This week's worksheet is called
Jesus heals on the Sabbath
Luke 13:10-17

If you are in Lille, you will have noticed that the building next door in rue Lydéric is having a facelift.
Following discussions and agreements with the Town Hall, they are now starting work on the adjoining wall next to the church, and work will continue for some weeks.
This involves scaffolding inside the church perimeter and then cleaning and painting.
They know that we will need access, so no worries on that score. But please forgive any slight inconvenience, thank you.
More works to come in September, we'll keep you updated. Then it will be work on the water supply and also on the church lighting.
The Town Hall owns the building, but we are responsible for its upkeep, so thanks to everyone involved.
