There is a lot of work going on in and around the church, from our neighbours painting the wall, to plumbing and electricity. It all takes time, and we are grateful for the Town Hall's continuing care for our building. But if you can help us with the day to day upkeep of the church, which is of course up to us, then please get in touch.

Small groups at Christ Church Lille
The Music team is happily in action again! Practice is on Fridays at 17:00 at the church and all are welcome. Contact Martha at morningmusic@christchurchlille.fr for more information. We are looking to form a small choir in preparation for Advent and Christmas so if you're interested in a limited commitment, here's your chance.

Sunday Club is excited to announce that is will be starting again on 14 September. Daniel says: This year we’ll be sharing stories, praying, singing together and taking time for fun activities that help us learn more about faith and friendship. If you’d like to join or receive updates, please contact Daniel Ross to be added to the WhatsApp group. We can’t wait to welcome everyone back and start a new season together!

Ladies' Bible Study is a warm and welcoming group that meets every Thursday morning at 11am in the church hall during school term time. We keep things light and informal, but always find ourselves in rich conversations and meaningful discussions—whether we’re walking through a book of the Bible or exploring topics like God’s heart for the Sabbath or Why worship. We’ll be kicking off the new season with a fun lunch at a local restaurant before diving into our next study together. It’s also a safe space to share prayer requests, encourage one another, and grow in faith side by side. We’d love for you to come and join us—you’ll feel right at home! For details of start date and lunch, contact Maggie churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr

Online Bible Study and a discussion group, in Normandy via Zoom
Donna writes: we currently have two groups alternating on Tuesday nights at 19:45. One week is Bible study, currently the book of Acts and the second week is an evening called 'Something more' where we discuss topics that are chosen by those in the group. It's an opportunity for anyone to ask a question that they have been dying to know the answer to but are too shy to ask. (Tuesday 1 September is 'Something more') Happy to share the links with you.

Thank you to everyone who supports Christ Church Lille, in whatever way. Of course, bills have to be paid, so regular contributions are vital, but we also value your help in the life of the church. Your support is especially valued during this time of interregnum (in other words, while we don't have a permanent chaplain). And sincere thanks go to the Reverend Elisabeth Dean for travelling up from Paris most Sundays, rain or shine.
So please continue your giving, and your volunteering, it is much appreciated.
