Results of the envelope challenge

The envelope challenge so far raised some €3700 to enable our church to keep going, and to fulfil its mission here in Lille. Please continue to bring back your envelopes and pledges.
We will be letting you know how we are using your gifts in the next week or two.
Thank you all very much for joining in the envelope challenge!

Diocesan Synod met 10-13 June

This meeting brings together clergy and elected representatives from all over this huge diocese. It includes dealing with business and the accounts, of course, but also information and reports on Safeguarding, Net Zero, Clergy well-being, children and young people and more. Regular worship is part of each day's packed schedule.
To find out more about the diocese, take a look at this map
And see below about an online visit to the synod by the churchwarden in Kyiv.
The Archdeaconry Synod
This brings together representatives from all the chaplaincies in France and they met online on 1 and 4 June. Again, necessary business was conducted, and they also made plans for in-person meetings in the autumn. Those present heard from the Anglican Refugee Support Lead on the coast around Calais, and from the new Net Zero Officer.
Details can be found on the Archdeaconry website. anglican france.fr
Confused about all these meetings, and how the church system of governance works? It's all explained on the Diocese in Europe website:

Prayers for Ukraine

During the Diocesan Synod this week, we were fortunate to hear directly from Christina Laschenko, the churchwarden in Kyiv, who joined us online to talk most movingly about the faith and hard work which supports the church in these extremely difficult circumstances.
Please continue to pray for everyone in Ukraine, remembering in particular our sister church, Christ Church Kyiv.
You can find prayers and more information here.
