Sunday 22 September: the 17th Sunday after Trinity

We were glad to welcome lots of visitors to the church last weekend, during the Braderie. We raised some €500, so thanks to all who made this possible.
|
|
|
|
|
Volunteers needed
- We still need volunteers at the church to welcome visitors to our Open Heritage Day on Saturday 21 September from 14h-17h This year, we celebrate connections and in particular, with all the Anglican churches in France and in the Diocese in Europe. Our congregation comes from around the world, connecting people across continents. Please get in touch with churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr if you can be there for an hour or two.
- Would you like to take part in our ecumenical work? We're looking for someone to represent us and join meetings at the Passerelle on Thursday mornings at 10:00 (3 October, 7 November, 5 December). More information from churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr

Did you know?
We are now in the 4th week of Creationtide.
|
Creationtide, or the Season of Creation, is the period in the annual church calendar, from 1 September to 4 October, dedicated to God as Creator and Sustainer of all life.
|
At church this Sunday, we will be thinking about our carbon footprint and how to reduce plastic use.
|
Please take a moment to think about how you can reduce your own plastic use, here's a useful reminder:

- 29 September: Sunday Club starts again, welcome back!
- 6 October: Harvest festival, part of our Creationtide celebrations For the Harvest Festival service, we would be grateful for gifts of non-perishable items so that we can, as in previous years, contribute to the Protestant church food bank.
- After the service on 6 October, we will enjoy a church lunch together.
- 10 November: Remembrance Sunday
- 17 November: Safeguarding Sunday
- 24 November: Chaplain Debbie Flach will hold her last service before she retires; followed by a celebration reception
- 15 December: Service of Nine Lessons and Carols
