AGMs… More Exciting Than They Sound!
When you hear the words Annual General Meeting, it might not exactly spark excitement, but behind every AGM is a story of faith, generosity, and community in action.

Our Christ Church AGM takes place on 20 April, and everyone on the Electoral Roll will have received an invitation. If you’re not on the roll, you are still very welcome to attend — simply get in touch for the Zoom details. While only Electoral Roll members can vote, it’s a great opportunity for everyone to hear about all that has been happening over the past year and what lies ahead.

Solidarité Anglicane de Lille, the outreach arm of Christ Church, held its AGM last month. This is a wonderful opportunity to hear about the charities and organisations being supported, both locally and beyond. Keep an eye on the church notice boards to discover who we’ve been able to support this year because of your generosity. Christ Church always aims to give 10% of what we receive to help others.

Meanwhile, across the wider Archdeaconry of France, there has been plenty happening too. Over the past year, the Synod met six times online for workshops and discussions on important topics including mission, future diocesan strategy, Alpha in France, ministry for children and young people, church planting, safeguarding, budgets, and more.

So yes… there may be meetings. But those meetings lead to action, vision, support, and ministry reaching far and wide across France.

If you’d like to see just how much is happening, take a look at our church website and the Archdeaconry website — you may be surprised how far the good news travels!

Thank you to everyone who supports Christ Church Lille, in whatever way. Of course, bills have to be paid, so regular contributions are vital, but we also value your help in the life of the church.
Your support is especially valued during this time of interregnum (in other words, while we don't have a permanent chaplain). And sincere thanks go to the Reverend Elisabeth Dean for travelling up from Paris most Sundays, rain or shine.
So please continue your giving, and your volunteering, it is much appreciated.
