After the fire
The church council have been working hard to ensure that even if the building is damaged, the church community is alive and well and continues. For new members elected on Monday, it has indeed been something of a baptism of fire introducing them to the work that goes on behind the scenes! Thanks to everyone for their help.
The council met on Thursday evening, and we can now update you, so please read on.

Thank you
The first message is to thank everyone who has called, written, sent messages with their prayers and good wishes. We are truly thankful for the support.
Some people have asked if they can donate, and you will find a link towards the end of this newsletter; there is absolutely no obligation, but we are grateful for this tangible expression of community and fellowship.

What about Sunday services?
|
The church building remains inaccessible.
|
With thanks to the Roman Catholic Diocese in Lille, who have been very supportive, as have our friends at the Protestant church, we have access to the aumônerie across the road from the entrance to the hall on Sunday mornings until the end of May.
On Sunday 26 April at 10:30 there will be a time of readings, prayer and reflection, plus the opportunity to ask questions and get together over coffee and biscuits.

Next week, there will be a service of Morning Prayer, and the next Holy Communion service will be on 10 May

Fire Fund

So many people have asked, we have set up a donations page on HelloAsso.
|

There is absolutely no obligation to contribute to the platform’s running costs, it’s entirely optional. You need to either move the slider to Zero, or untick - depending on whether you are reading in French or English, the layout is not the same.
