Sunday 9 November 2025
A service of Holy Communion, and a special Remembrance Sunday service
Every year at this time we recall those who lost their lives or their health in war, together with their families. In the section (All Saints to Advent?) you can explore further the theme of remembrance.
But this week our thoughts and prayers are with veterans and their families and all those who suffered in war. We support the charities who help them by buying a poppy, and there are poppies available in church until Sunday 9 November.
If you can't be with us, you can listen to the Last Post and the silence while we remember.

A message from the Newsletter Editor
Thank you to everyone who reads the newsletter, and especially to those who click through to the links to further information (or to videos!). We're delighted that you find these helpful or just enjoyable. (Let me know if you would like other content!)
Some recent feedback suggests that there are people who don't realise what links are available - generally, links are underlined and most usually but not always in blue. This can be text, a heading or even an image. But in order to make things clearer, and especially for people with different visual skills., we're experimenting with adding symbols to headings etc to see if that helps. We'd be very grateful for any feedback which helps us ensure that everyone can read and enjoy the newsletter. Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who supports Christ Church Lille, in whatever way. Of course, bills have to be paid, so regular contributions are vital, but we also value your help in the life of the church. Your support is especially valued during this time of interregnum (in other words, while we don't have a permanent chaplain). And sincere thanks go to the Reverend Elisabeth Dean for travelling up from Paris most Sundays, rain or shine.
So please continue your giving, and your volunteering, it is much appreciated.
