It seems that the weeks are flying by! Are you checking off the days on your Advent calendar? And lighting an Advent candle? There are still some available at church.
This Sunday, we will light the candle of Joy.

The third Sunday of Advent is also known as Gaudete Sunday, Gaudete means "Rejoice". So rejoice this Sunday with us and to help you feel the joy of the season, and in advance of Sunday's carols and readings, here's a link to a video to share in that joy. (Sorry about the adverts, we have no control over them)

Our friends in the Pas de Calais invited us to join them on Sunday 7 December for the installation of their new chaplain, the Reverend Teena Twelves. Thanks Pauline and colleagues for the invitation; our links go back a long way. Rosemary joined them and the Archdeacon for this joyful event. You can see some photos at this link.

Thank you to everyone who supports Christ Church Lille, in whatever way. Of course, bills have to be paid, so regular contributions are vital, but we also value your help in the life of the church. Your support is especially valued during this time of interregnum (in other words, while we don't have a permanent chaplain). And sincere thanks go to the Reverend Elisabeth Dean for travelling up from Paris most Sundays, rain or shine.

So please continue your giving, and your volunteering, it is much appreciated.
