The website Bible Gateway enables you to see any of the readings on line, and in any of 50 languages. In church, we use the NIV (UK) version.
The church calendar is on our website, and all the services and readings are shown there.

Sunday Club

Starts again this Sunday, 11 November

11 November is Remembrance Sunday

This year marks the 100th anniversary of the Armistice. When you buy a poppy, you help past and present members of the armed forces and their families.
The French equivalent is "Les Bleuets".

We thought you would like to see this image of Patricia Hawkins outside St George's church in Ypres, with the amazing display of knitted poppies, some of which were contributed from Northern Ireland.
If you get the chance to visit Ypres you will be able to take a moment to visit this memorial church and to admire the poppies. And of course, to pray for peace in our world.
Last Friday's concert was wonderful, thanks to the
Snowdown Colliery Welfare Male Voice Choir.

Christ Church Lille Famous Nativity Play

It's not Christmas yet, but rehearsals are starting this weekend for our famous Nativity Play.
Want to take part? Help with the backstage work? Please contact our Producer David, at nativity@christchurchlille.fr
Everyone will tell you that it's not only great fun, but a wonderful way to tell the story of the Nativity.

New and Coming Soon to Christ Church

Did you ever wonder why we have a Women's Group, and no Men's Group? Well, now Tom is going to change all that with a new group for all those men at CCL: all ages from students upwards, everyone is welcome!

It sounds promising because they are planning to start with a social event in December or January, to get to know each other and make plans. But you can already get in touch with Tom and tell him if you are interested, and let him know what you are hoping for from the group.

And you can still join the Women's Group if you prefer!
The ecumenical Association Marthe et Marie in Lomme has sent us a poster about the different events taking place in November.
