A special service on 10 March at 10:30

We are delighted to welcome the Archdeacon of France and Monaco, The Venerable Meurig Williams, to preach on Sunday 10 March, as we celebrate the 25th anniversary of our Chaplain Canon Debbie Flach's ordination.
The morning service will be followed by an informal reception in the aumônerie opposite the church.

Good news

The Town Hall has replaced the old (and non-functioning) immersion heater in the kitchen, so we will have hot water again once the works are finished.
Please still be careful and don't block the pipes and pump with food waste: it's below ground level and we have to be careful.
We spend quite a lot of money every year getting the pump cleaned ...

And some not so good news

There is still quite a lot of work to be done on the new heating system, and it won't be ready for this Sunday, sorry.
But even if the heatwave is over, we are fortunate that it is not too cold, so sing loudly, and it will be fine!

Lent has begun

Please join us as we try and do something generous every day during Lent. And when you come to church on Sunday, you can celebrate this with a sticker in each week's poster. The stickers are there waiting, it's up to you!
Let's show what a wonderful, generous family we are and fill the poster with stickers.

If you like, it's not too late to sign up yourself on the 40 Acts site, as a family (lots of activities for children and families) or an individual. Please join us and make a difference during Lent.
If you're looking for ideas, you'll find a few in this document.

Information for British Nationals

Unfortunately, the situation for British nationals after Brexit is still not clear, but if this concerns you, you might like to consult this page, which gives links to various sites offering regular updates.

Christ Church Lille Outreach - another deadline

Every year, through its outreach association, la Solidarité Anglicane, Christ Church gives 10 % of its income to causes sponsored by members of Christ Church. This is both an expression of our gratitude for all that we have been given by God, and a way of helping those in greater need than ourselves.

Would you like to suggest an organisation or a person as a grant beneficiary? Anyone on the Christ Church Electoral Roll may propose and sponsor a cause. You need to do this before the grants committee meets in March.
All details and a proposal form are on our website
If you have any queries, please contact the Chaplain or Frances Coester and we will be happy to explain more fully.
The deadline for applications is 17 March 2019.
During this last week Christ Church welcomed an art exhibition by a member of our congregation. It closes on Saturday evening; see the poster for more details.
