Sunday 2 October was one of the busiest Sundays we have had in recent times. There were three Sunday services, a concert and our monthly community lunch.
The 10:30 am service included a baptism, and we welcomed Amelia; Debbie Flach also commissioned all the group and team leaders who gave their gifts and talents.
Gifts of cleaning products, loo paper, bin liners and other practical items were offered by the congregation, and we continued to donate biscuits for the Auberge des Migrants – Katharina was so grateful and you can read what she says here.
We were also so pleased to welcome members of the John Lewis Partnership Music Society to the service, before the wonderful concert which they gave after the service. Thanks to them, the singing and the music all added to the joyful atmosphere.
The concert itself was a great success, and the musicians joined members of the congregation downstairs in the hall for the monthly community lunch, which included some UK specialities from a certain UK store …
