Christ Church Lille Newsletter
Dear reader
This Sunday we celebrate the Feast of the Presentation, when Joseph and Mary took the baby Jesus to the temple to be presented to God. It's one of the oldest feasts in the Christian church and occurs on 2 February every year.
Another name for this feast is Candlemas and many Christians bring their candles to church that day, to be blessed.
In France, traditionally "la Chandeleur" is a day to eat pancakes, a tradition going back a long way.
What's in this week's newsletter:
- How to register to attend a service in church
- Mosaic evening services
- Services on video
- Men's Group
- Photos of the Ecumenical service in Lille
- Support for our ministry and mission

Services in the church on Sundays (unless the regulations change)

There will be a Sunday morning service at 10:30 am every Sunday unless the regulations change - we'll keep you informed.
You'll still need to register, and Covid-19 precautions are still in place.
If you have any problems, please contact churchoffice@christchurchlille.fr

Mosaic Evening Services

Evening services are on hold for now, because of the curfew. But the team have prepared a talk for each week which you can find on this page on our website.
Or see the link below for the link to our YouTube page.

Services on video continue

Services on video will be available in addition to services in the church, for everyone who can't be there in person.
Links are on the homepage of our website, or you can go directly to our YouTube channel.

Men's Group

The men will be meeting virtually this Saturday 30 January at 10:00 am for about an hour and they'll be looking at 1 Peter together.
Please contact Tom at mensgroup@christchurchlille.fr for details of how to join them this week and, they hope, fortnightly after that.

Week of Prayer for Christian Unity

Debbie Flach took part in an Ecumenical service at St Maurice church last weekend and you can see some photos by going to this link

Giving

Thank you to everyone who gives to sustain the life, mission and ministry of this church. Your gifts are very much welcomed.
And indeed, without your gifts, we cannot carry on - don't forget that the church is entirely self-funded.
