It will soon be Ash Wednesday - 17 February - so Lent is nearly here.
|
|
We won't be able to hold an Ash Wednesday service that evening because of the curfew, but you will be able to watch and join in a pan-Diocesan service to mark this important day in the church calendar. So there will be an online service of Evening Prayer with a Homily on Ash Wednesday February 17th at 19:30 CET (that's 18:30 GMT). The Reverend Sam Van Leer, the Archdeacon of North West Europe, will lead the service and Bishop Robert will preach.

There will be a Sunday morning service at 10:30 am every Sunday unless the regulations change - we'll keep you informed.

Mosaic Evening Services
|
Evening services in church are on hold for now, because of the curfew. But the team have prepared a talk for each week. The sermon series for February is entitled "Love, Dates, Heartbreaks - February is the month of love, but it’s all so complicated. So, how do you get it right?"

|
Like the weekly services, they are uploaded to the website on a Saturday evening, and you can find the link on this page on our website.

|
Services on video will be available in addition to services in the church, for everyone who can't be there in person.

Furniture
|
Somebody moving away is offering a double bed (needs a new mattress), a 2-seater settee and a slimline chest of drawers. Free to people in need but items need to be collected from 3rd floor flat in centre of Lille. If any of this could be useful to you, please get in touch with Debbie chaplain@christchurchlille.fr
