Christ Church Lille Newsletter 19 August 2022

Dear reader
We are sorry to tell you that our oldest member, Mona Maka-Cockerell died last weekend after a short illness.
She had been a faithful member of the church since she was young.
Mobility problems had prevented her from attending church in recent years, but she maintained contact, and the chaplain visited her regularly, as did other members of the congregation.
Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.

The funeral service will be held at Christ Church on Saturday 20 August at 10:30 am.
For those who would like to make a donation in her memory, her family has asked for donations to Christ Church Lille: click the button below for how to do this.

Prayers for Ukraine

Please don't forget that this conflict is ongoing. Your prayers are still needed.
We are entirely self-funded and we have cut back our expenses as much as possible; but we still need a regular income.
We're grateful to everyone who continues to support the church and its work, which goes beyond weekly services. Thank you!
If you're not already a regular giver, please consider whether you can give a little each month. Small amounts are just as welcome as large ones, really!
It's easy to give, here's a link to our "Giving" page
