Christ Church Lille Newsletter 28 October 2022

Dear reader
Don't forget that the clocks go back this weekend (no excuse for being late to church!)
This Sunday is All Saints' Sunday - it's the nearest Sunday to All Saints' Day on 1 November. One of the most well-loved hymns sung on this occasion is this one, music by Ralph Vaughan Williams, and sung here by the Choir of Kings' College Cambridge

Or maybe you prefer something more upbeat, like this Gospel song

Come to church on Sunday and find out what we'll be singing.🎶🎶
Sunday 30 October

Safeguarding Sunday and Potting Shed 20 November

Protecting vulnerable people is at the heart of the Christian message of justice: Safeguarding Sunday is one way we show we take it seriously.
We also care about protecting the earth, so after the service, we will be offering the opportunity to pot up a spring bulb in a recycled tin can, for you to take home.
Anyone who can donate a (washed) tin can, please bring it along to church.

Prayers for Ukraine

Please don't forget that this conflict is ongoing and your prayers are still needed. Prayers and other resources are available on the Diocesan website
Did you know our income is currently about €1000 per month less than our outgoings?
We are entirely self-funded and we have cut back our expenses as much as possible; but we still need a regular income.
We're grateful to everyone who continues to support the church and its work, which goes beyond weekly services. Thank you!
If you're not already a regular giver, please consider whether you can give a little each month. Small amounts are just as welcome as large ones, really!
It's easy to give, here's a link to our "Giving" page
