Christ Church Lille Newsletter 14 July 2023

Happy French National Day to everyone!
We hope you are finding some time to relax, even if it's a bit hot.

🇫🇷

Sunday 16 July 10:30: A service of Holy Communion
It's the sixth Sunday after Trinity
Please welcome back the Reverend Elisabeth Dean to Christ Church this Sunday and during the summer until Canon Debbie returns from leave. Every Sunday except for 23 July, which will be a service of Morning Prayer.
This Sunday, we will hear the parable of the sower and the seeds: some of you have been sowing the seeds we distributed at our last Potting Shed, so we are delighted to share some photos of the seeds which fell on good ground.
And the bees are happy too!

Renovation work

The team has started work on the walls down the staircase leading to the church hall, which are in a very sorry state. They're doing a great job, but even if you can't work on the walls, can you help towards the cost of paint and materials? Click the link or the image to give by credit card or PayPal.

Racial Justice Conference

The Diocese in Europe is organising a conference in November in Freiburg. You can find out more here:

Prayers for Ukraine

Please remember to pray for all affected by this conflict.
We are entirely self-funded and we have cut back our expenses as much as possible; but we still need a regular income.
We're grateful to everyone who continues to support the church and its work, which goes beyond weekly services.
