Some of you are local, but others come from much further away: wherever you are, it's good to be in touch, so thank you for reading our newsletter. And if you have an idea for something you'd like to see mentioned, don't hesitate to let us know. (newsletter@christchurchlille.fr)

10:30 a service of Holy Communion, led by the Reverend Elisabeth Dean

If you can, please use the digital service sheet available here 🔗— it’s easy to view on your phone and helps us save a little paper along the way. Thank you for supporting a greener approach! (You can of course print a copy if you prefer).

Thank you to everyone who helps set up the aumônerie for worship; can you help? We need a few extra helpers before Sunday worship to set out chairs and prepare the space for the HC table — thank you!

Sunday services

As always at Christ Church, everyone is very welcome. The kettle is never far from the boil, the coffee pot is always hot and ready, and of course there will be biscuits — some even covered in chocolate!

For now, we are still meeting in the aumônerie opposite. The address is 1 rue Watteau and here's a map.
|
|
As mentioned it's just over the road from the big blue door.

Please keep an eye on our website, we will keep it updated.

As in many churches, there are lots of people who work quietly in the background, and don't ask for thanks. Matthew says "your Father, who sees what is done in secret, will reward you" and that is enough. However, they deserve our thanks for everything they do.
|
So without naming names, please see that there is a renewed, updated and altogether awesome children's worksheet for this week. There are different activities and a new look. Clicking or tapping on the link is the best way to show your appreciation, but don't hesitate to reply to this newsletter to tell us if you like the new version!

As a church, we donate to several charities and organisations needing our help. We can't help everybody unfortunately, there are so many desperate needs around the world, particularly at the moment, but we do what we can, with your help. A recent request has come from Tearfund, concerning the Ebola outbreak in the DRC and Uganda. Our outreach association is looking to see what we can do, but meanwhile, if you would like to donate something yourself, here is the link:

We have been so happy to see how many people want to help, and are thinking of us. The donations are very much appreciated as we try to negotiate the path between insurance and excesses, but the knowledge that people are there for us is the best value. Thank you!

There is absolutely no obligation to contribute to the platform’s running costs, it’s entirely optional. You need to either move the slider to Zero, or untick - depending on whether you are reading in French or English, the layout is not the same.
|
|
If you would like to contribute but don't want to use that system, please contact the Treasurer (mentioning the Fire Fund) treasurer@christchurchlille.fr
