We are delighted that the Revd Vivian Sockett is our new Chaplain!
She will be licensed by the Diocese on Saturday 10 October by the Acting Archdeacon Revd Canon Ben Harding. We hope you can join us.
More about Vivian and her husband
Vivian is coming to Christ Church Lille after her curacy in Paris – 1 year at St Michael’s and 2 years in Maisons-Laffitte. Before that she and her husband were in lay ministry at St Mark’s Versailles, and also spent 25 years in French evangelical churches in Nancy and Strasbourg.
As of 4 October, she’ll be conducting Sunday services from our temporary home in the aumônerie catholique (across from our own Christ Church building).
In her pre-ordination life, Vivian was a teacher, a study abroad director and in the international offices of Open Doors for 16 years.
With such a diverse background, we hope that you, too, wherever you are from, will feel at home with us at Christ Church.
